Embracing Earth’s Sacred Circle Together

When an individual expresses interest in joining the Circle of the Sacred Earth, they begin their journey as a Candidate of the Seed. This initial stage serves as both an introduction and a commitment to the fraternity’s core values: respect for the Earth, personal growth, and communal harmony.

1. Entry and Initiation (Degree of the Seed):Candidates participate in a welcoming ceremony that symbolizes the planting of a seed—an awakening of their connection to the sacred Earth and the fraternity’s mission. During this period, candidates learn about the fraternity’s history, principles, and responsibilities. They are encouraged to engage with the community and start developing their personal relationship with nature.

2. Active Learning and Participation (Degree of the Sprout):After successfully completing the Seed degree, candidates advance to the Sprout stage. Here, they take on active roles in environmental projects, educational workshops, and fraternity events. This degree is focused on growth—both personal and communal—as candidates deepen their understanding of ecological stewardship and leadership within the circle.

3. Commitment and Foundation (Degree of the Root):Candidates who demonstrate dedication and understanding move to the Root degree. This stage solidifies their place in the fraternity by emphasizing stability, responsibility, and adherence to the fraternity’s ethical code. Candidates learn to serve as role models and contribute to maintaining the harmony and strength of the circle.

4. Leadership and Outreach (Degree of the Branch):At this level, candidates begin to take on leadership roles, mentoring newer members and expanding the fraternity’s presence. They organize events, advocate for environmental causes, and strengthen ties with outside communities. This degree encourages members to embody the fraternity’s values in broader contexts.

5. Wisdom and Mentorship (Degree of the Blossom):Candidates who reach the Blossom degree are recognized for their maturity and wisdom. They serve as mentors, helping guide the growth of others and contributing to the fraternity’s spiritual and practical mission. This stage reflects full integration within the Circle of the Sacred Earth.

6. Legacy and Guardianship (Degree of the Harvest):The final degree is reserved for members who have dedicated themselves fully over time. They become custodians of tradition, entrusted with preserving the fraternity’s legacy and steering its future. Harvest members symbolize the fruition of the fraternity’s purpose and the ongoing cycle of life, growth, and renewal.
